CBS - Minutes after a fatal car accident, a Good Samaritan was carjacked as she tried to save a man’s life. Adrienne Braxton, 33, a nurse’s assistant, was the only person who ran to help the man who was left in the middle of Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue in Los Angeles early Monday morning. But it was too late. As Braxton was by the victim’s side, the unthinkable happened. In a video provided by Pico Shell Gas Station to CBS 2/KCAL 9, a woman is seen stealing Braxton’s car.Braxton ran back to her car, gripped on for life but was dragged and then run over by the back tire. She was knocked unconscious. Now with three broken ribs and sprained ankle, Braxton said the thief stole more than her car – but also a lasting memory. Braxton did get her father’s car back and 28-year-old Deserie Guzman has been charged with carjacking and hit-and-run. Police said as Guzman fled the gas station, she hit a parked car.
Hey what’s that thing I always say? “Don’t ever help anyone that’s not yourself ever under any circumstances”? I guess that applies here pretty well. Like yeah it sucks to watch a dude die in the middle of the street. But it also sucks pretty bad to get your car jacked then get run over by the back tire and get knocked the fuck out. So 6 of one half dozen of the other.
