Caroline Giuliani was arrested for taking $100 worth of cosmetics from Sephora in Manhattan. The 20 year old Harvard senior was caught on tape stuffing her pockets full of products. Caroline Giuliani is the youngest of Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover’s two children. She is rumored to be estranged from her famous political father. With Caroline Giuliani’s famous father, why would she feel the need to steal? “When your parents are high profile, and when your family doesn’t have much of a private life, you might feel cheated,” April Benson, PhD, a New York City psychologist told CBS News. “Sometimes they feel that they’ve been cheated out of life and that they are owed.” Benson claims that in families with high profile parents it’s common for the family to pretend everything is okay. When they don’t talk about their feelings or emotions they child may begin to act out in other ways, like stealing.
